Research Technicians
Research technicians are highly valuable members of our intimate team and are integral to our success as a young lab. They are the driving force behind day-to-day running of the lab and are critical for establishing and finishing projects
-
Research techs are responsible for smooth running of the lab. You will gain experience with daily lab upkeep including organization, ordering, lab safety, making shared reagents, and maintaining databases.
-
Many of our techs have aspirations to go to grad or med school. Our lab provides a great training platform to prepare you for a research career. You will be given independence to work on a project that excites you in addition to helping other lab members with their experiments.
-
As a research tech you will be trained by Bushra directly and will benefit from daily contact and weekly meetings. This provides a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with your PI to learn scientific skills that will benefit you in your next career stage (grad school, med school, industry, etc). You will also be expected to train new lab members and show them how the lab is organized.
